Canada Excellence Research Chair in
Cognitive Neuroscience and Imaging
Cognitive neuroscience and imaging is an interdisciplinary area investigating the neural bases of perception, memory, attention, self-awareness, motor control and language. The Chair in Neuroscience and Imaging would complement existing strengths at The University of Western Ontario, where diverse disciplines are brought to bear on common problems of mind and brain. The key technology allowing cognitive neuroscience to advance in recent years has been neuroimaging of the living brain. The success of future research in this important area lies in bridging traditional disciplines and developing innovative new ways of imaging brain function in health and disease.
