Dr. Gustaaf Borghs is an IMEC senior research fellow in microelectronics. He is currently responsible for IMEC’s long-term scientific strategy, mainly for bio-electronics and nano-optics, including materials research and packaging. IMEC is a world-leading independent research centre for nanoelectronics and nanotechnology. Borghs is also a professor in the physics and astronomy department at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium.
Borghs holds a PhD in science from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. His areas of research interest include semiconductor materials and devices, magneto-electronics, plastic electronics, bioelectronics and nanomaterials.
