Canada Excellence Research Chair in Data Science for Real-Time Decision-Making
Corporations, governments and scientists rely on “big data” to quickly make informed decisions. The Chair in Data Science for Real-Time Decision-Making will use algorithms to develop new innovations in extracting knowledge from data streams in real-time, allowing users to combine the analysis and decision-making process. Working with a network of industrial and institutional partners, the Chair will find data solutions that pool machine-learning and operations-research techniques, and combine these with a strong technology transfer component. The Chair’s research will have significant applications in the digital economy, transportation, energy, multimedia and production management sectors.
