CERC Review Panel Biographies- Richard Dasher


Dr. Richard Dasher is director of the US-Asia Technology Management Center and executive director of the Center for Integrated Systems at Stanford University, as well as a consulting professor at Stanford University and a member of the management council of Tohoku University in Japan. He is on the Program Committee of the World Premier International Research Center Initiative for Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and is a distinguished external reviewer for the Hong Kong Innovation Project of the Hong Kong SAR.

Dasher maintains an active business consulting practice on international strategy and planning, technology trend and opportunity analysis, and Japan market entry and performance improvement. In addition to doing projects for large firms, he serves as a board director for ZyCube in Japan, and as advisor to several start-up companies in the United States and China. Since 2000, Dasher has been an advisor to the US-Japan Business Incubation Center in San Jose, California. He received his PhD in linguistics from Stanford University, and is fluent in Japanese.
